Yarlington Housing Group is delighted to announce the launch of its first development to complete in Bristol. Located in Filwood Park, the development marks a significant milestone for Yarlington and their expansion to the city.
Made up of 26 two-bedroom apartments for shared ownership, Yarlington’s Filwood Park comes as part of the city’s exciting new multi-million pound regeneration programme.
Designed for comfortable living, Yarlington’s high-standard apartments are situated south of the city centre and come with fitted kitchen and integrated appliances, stylish bathroom and parking. The site is also in close proximity to transport, services and entertainment.
On the announcement, Yarlington’s Executive Director of Growth and Development, Stephen Lodge said:
“One year ago, we made a commitment to deliver 500 homes in Bristol and we are delighted to see this take shape with the launch of 26 apartments in Filwood Park. This is a significant milestone for Yarlington and our Next-Gen strategy as we help meet the city’s housing need.”
Yarlington’s shared ownership apartments also support the Bristol Mayor, Marvin Rees’, pledge to build 2,000 new homes per year by 2020 including 800 affordable homes.
Shared ownership provides an affordable option for homeownership, allowing customers to purchase a share of a property and pay discounted rent on the remainder, with the opportunity to buy more shares.
Yarlington’s Filwood Park apartments start at £85,000 and are due to be completed in two phases with the first block due in February 2019 and the second in April 2019.
The expansion into Bristol comes as part of Yarlington’s Next-Gen corporate strategy which commits to helping solve the housing crisis in the south west; building 1,500 new homes with 500 in Bristol, and providing customers a more effective and efficient services offer.
