Feature in our new community cookbook

The recent UK lockdown posed many challenges for us all, but it also provided opportunities to learn new skills and hone existing ones. Cooking and baking was right up there on the top of the list!

So, we thought it would be a great idea to share our customers’ culinary creations in our new Community Cookbook, created in partnership with Spark Somerset, Zing and the YMCA. The cookbook will be free and available for all to access digitally.

Send us your recipes

To bring this cookbook to life, we need your input. The cookbook will contain five categories and we’d love to receive recipes which cater for a range of dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free.

We want to know what you’ve created, so please provide your own recipes rather than ones from your favourite cookbooks. The book will feature five categories covering:

  • Starters
  • Snacks
  • Mains
  • Desserts
  • Treats

We know that some ingredients have been hard to come by during lockdown so we also want to know what you make from just five ingredients (excluding seasoning and oil) too.

Which dish comforted you during lockdown? Or what is a long-standing family favourite? We want to hear!

Whether you have a new creation or an old classic, send your recipes, with your first name, age and contact details to by Sunday 13 September to be in with a chance of having your recipe featured.

Please note, we will publish your first name and age alongside your recipe unless stated otherwise.

We’d also like to hear from children who have a name suggestion for the cookbook and/or who would like to submit a design for the front cover. Let us know your ideas!
