Yarlington offers a defined contribution pension scheme. All qualifying employees will be automatically enrolled into this scheme with the opportunity to opt out should they wish. Non-qualifying employees may also apply to join this scheme. Full details of our pension are available through HR Services.
Our annual leave entitlement is 26 days paid holiday, not including bank holidays. This is pro-rata for temporary staff, according to the length of their contract. And for part-time staff according to their working pattern, and the number of days they work per week. Operational heads receive 30 days. Continuous service for statutory employment rights, and holiday entitlement, start from the date your employment begins.
If you’re offered a job we will ask you to complete a health declaration which may, in certain circumstances mean we will require a medical assessment.
In accordance with Sections 15-25 of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, all employers are obliged to ensure their staff are permitted to work in the UK, by providing ID documents as specified by the Home Office, such as a valid passport or long birth certificate (with the parents name on), complete with proof of National Insurance. HR will let you know what to bring if you’re asked for an interview.
If you have declared a criminal conviction, and the interview panel believe this to have a bearing on the requirements of the post, they’ll discuss it in your interview. If appropriate to the vacancy, successful applicants will have their background checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service. Further information is available from HR Services.
All new employees will be subject to a 6-month probationary period.
